Wall Oven Repair
Many South Florida kitchens use a built-in wall oven instead of a freestanding range — a single or double oven mounted directly into cabinetry rather than sitting on the floor with its own cooktop. We repair wall ovens the same way we repair any oven, with a few installation-specific considerations.
Double wall ovens have two separate cavities, each with its own heating elements, sensor, and control board, so we diagnose the affected cavity independently rather than assuming a shared cause. Because a wall oven is built into cabinetry, service access is more limited than on a freestanding range — reaching the back panel, wiring, or gas line (on gas wall ovens) usually means partially or fully removing the unit from its cabinet opening, which we account for when scheduling and pricing a repair.
Common wall oven issues we see include a cavity not reaching or holding set temperature, uneven baking between racks, an igniter or heating element failing to engage, a control board or touchpad not responding, a door not sealing tightly against the cabinet frame, and hinges that no longer hold the door closed properly. If you have a double wall oven, tell us which cavity is affected (upper, lower, or both) when you book — it helps us bring the right parts on the first visit.
Do you repair double wall ovens?
Yes, we diagnose and repair single and double wall ovens, treating each oven cavity as its own heating and control system.
Does removing a wall oven from its cabinet affect the repair cost?
Built-in access can affect labor time on some repairs — we'll explain that as part of your upfront quote before any work begins.
Oven Not Heating
An oven that turns on but doesn't heat — or takes far longer than usual to reach temperature — usually points to one of a small number of components. On electric ovens, a failed bake or broil heating element is one of the most common causes, and a visibly damaged or blistered element is often a clear sign. A temperature sensor that's reading inaccurately can also cause the oven to think it's hotter than it actually is, cutting heat prematurely.
On gas ovens, the igniter is responsible for both opening the gas valve and lighting the burner — a weak or failing igniter is a frequent cause of no-heat complaints, and this is diagnosed and repaired as part of a professional visit rather than DIY, given the gas components involved.
A thermostat or control board that isn't cycling the heating circuit correctly can affect either fuel type, and in some cases what looks like a heating problem is actually a control issue rather than the heating element or igniter itself.
Why is my oven on but not heating?
A failed heating element, a faulty igniter on gas ovens, a bad temperature sensor, or a control issue are the most common causes. We diagnose the exact cause on-site before recommending a repair.
