Freezer Repair in South Florida
RapidFix repairs standalone freezers throughout South Florida, including upright and chest freezer units used in kitchens, garages, and utility rooms. Our technicians diagnose the exact cause of a cooling or mechanical issue on-site before recommending a repair.
A standalone freezer is a different appliance from your kitchen refrigerator — it runs a single, deeper cooling cycle without a fresh-food compartment, so we diagnose its airflow, defrost, and compressor behavior differently. If it's your kitchen refrigerator that needs attention instead, see our residential Refrigerator Repair page.

Freezer Not Freezing
"Freezer not freezing" can mean a few different things depending on what you're seeing. If the freezer runs constantly but the inside stays warm, that points toward airflow or the sealed cooling system rather than the freezer simply needing more time. Frost building up heavily around the back wall or vents may be related to a defrost cycle that isn't completing, which restricts the airflow a working freezer depends on.
A thermostat or control board that isn't reading temperature accurately can also cause a freezer to run without reaching its set point, even when the compressor itself is fine. In other cases, a door or lid seal that's no longer sealing tightly lets warm air in faster than the unit can compensate for.
If you're hearing clicking or buzzing along with the lack of cooling, that may point toward the compressor or start system specifically — the same component covered on our Refrigerator Compressor Repair page, since standalone freezers use a similar start system.
Why is my freezer running but not freezing?
A freezer that runs constantly without reaching a cold temperature can point toward airflow, the defrost system, or the compressor and start system. We diagnose the exact cause on-site before recommending a repair.
